Cynthia Kim
Keynote Speaker.
Content Architect.
Author.
Startup founder. Regional leader at one of the world's largest tech companies. I scaled a company from nothing, left to chase something bigger, and joined one of the fastest-growing companies in the world — hungry, ambitious, and sure I was on my way.
Then I got humbled. I was let go from a job that nearly defined me and wasn't authentic.
What came after was unexpected — I stopped looking outward and started looking in. And what I found inside changed everything about how I lead, speak, and teach today.
What I Do
Global Keynote Speech
I share my own story and The Ripple Effect™ — why authenticity isn't just a buzzword, it's your superpower. Being authentic means being loyal to yourself first.
Grounded in behavioural science and research on emotional contagion, I show why self-loyalty is the real foundation for change — in your career, your relationships, your life.
I've built a startup from scratch, led marketing at a global corporation across 11 countries, and learned the hard way what happens when you try to lead from the outside in. I don't teach this from theory — I teach it because I've made every mistake first.

Corporate Workshops
This is where The Ripple Effect™comes to life in practice. Your team gets on their feet, works through real scenarios, and builds confidence from the inside out.
From presentation skills to leadership presence to communicating under pressure — half-day, full-day, or two-day masterclasses for every level. Your team leaves with tools they use the next day, not motivation that fades by Monday.
Youth Program Design
I design communication and leadership curricula for youth — and train the facilitators who deliver them. The same framework that transforms boardrooms, adapted for the next generation and built to scale through local teams, not one-off inspiration. Grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles so every young person can participate — regardless of background or ability. Open to partnerships with NGOs, education institutions, and development organisations looking to embed lasting communication and leadership skills into their programmes.
The Book
Coming Soon
My forthcoming book early 2027 traces my family's true story across multiple generations of Korean history — from my great-grandmother who rebuilt her life from nothing during wartime, to a family reunited across the North-South Korean border, to my own journey navigating identity as a Korean-Canadian across three continents. Published by a prestigious university press with international distribution.
What People Say
"Cynthia is more than a speaker—she’s a true mentor who nurtures confidence in every individual with care, calm composure, and deep presence. Her approachable nature and respect for each person’s fears, challenges, and strengths created a space where learning felt safe, personal, and powerful. By the end of the workshop, I witnessed people overcome stage fright, speak with conviction, and own their authentic voice."
